Hybrid remote position in midtown Manhattan with well established investment firm.
The senior developer will work closely with a small team of software developers to build, maintain and document back-office web applications. The ideal candidate is a developer who understands the industry’s best practices and has experience with developing in a Microsoft environment.
Position Description:
- Design, develop and document software solutions for current internal back-office web applications
- Architect systems within an Azure cloud environment
- Ensure all new web applications function smoothly across various platforms (mobile and desktop)
- Optimize new and existing web applications to follow coding standards
- Perform testing on new and existing features in the web applications
- Support legacy back-office web applications
- Interact closely with business to understand business processes and proposing technical as well as non-technical solutions for business problems
Required Skills:
- 7 + years professional experience in SW Development
- Expertise with .NET Core (C#)
- Experience with cloud systems (Azure preferred)
- Experience with React
- Experience with DevOps (Azure DevOps preferred)
- Solid Knowledge of CSS
- Work experience in an agile environment
- Understanding of security best practices
- Understanding of application architecture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly customer service oriented, responsive and effective
- Proficiency with containers, serverless functions, and microservices development and design experience
- Experience as an architect
- Experience with unit tests
- Experience with code reviews
- Experience with code deployments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understand discipline of software development life cycle
- A strong appreciation for the importance of usability in web applications
- Strong knowledge of web application development using enterprise grade technologies and frameworks/libraries
- Possess a solid understanding of tiered distributed systems
- Strong familiarity with common design pattern used in web/enterprise applications
- Strong familiarity with emerging cloud and web technologies. (Azure preferred)
- Strong familiarity with source code control systems (GIT preferred)

DirectOur client is a mid-sized financial service firm. They are seeking a Director of Information Security for a fulltime, permanent role. This is a hybrid remote role in NYC and requires the employee to work on-site three days per week. In this role, you will lead a team of approximately four Information Security Engineers. And will be responsible for Info Sec policy and technology. The role is strategic and tactical.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Information Security subject matter expert in designing security operations and programs, including network architecture security, endpoint hardening, vulnerability and patch management, among other security needs
- Act as a trusted point of contact for the Head of IT, IT senior leadership, executive leadership, and business units
- Analyze technologies and establish highly effective processes and protocols to ensure comprehensive protection exists to prevent unauthorized entry into the company networks and systems
- Support automation and orchestration to maximize team talent and reduce routine tasks
- Explaining security controls/requirements and guidance to the System Owners and System Teams and recommending implementation strategies
- Identifying technical gaps and providing solution recommendations for cloud services acquisition, development, migration, implementation, and monitoring
- Perform risk analysis and provide mitigation strategies for IT network operations and systems engineering
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience working in managing a comprehensive enterprise-wide information security and IT risk management program
- 10 + years of professional IT/ Info Sec experience.
- CISSP Mandatory
- Be a consensus builder and persuasive leader with a strong commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing who effectively communicates technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
- Knowledge of security tools and concepts including IDS/IPS; SIEM; Web Proxy; Encryption; Patch management; Vulnerability Scanning & Remediation; Forensics; Penetration Testing; DLP; Email Gateways; Anti-spam Services; MDM; Privileged Account Management; Log Analytics; Two Factor Authentication; Single Sign On and Threat Hunting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills across varying levels of the organization.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks, like ISO 27001/27002, NIST, OWASP, and IT Risk Management
- Expert understanding of cloud controls and environments, a strong foundation in IT solutions deployment and practical understanding of IT security compliance, risk management and information security principles including access control, network security, information security architecture, information security operations, and leading practices and associated tools in a cloud environment are critical.
- Exposure to application and infrastructure vulnerability assessment tools
