A Career Built on Leadership and Expertise

Sal’s financial recruitment journey began immediately after graduating from the University at Albany in 1997. He joined Dynamics Associates, where he built a financial recruiting practice from the ground up, developing long-standing relationships with investment banks, broker-dealers, and asset managers in New York and beyond. During his 19 years at Dynamics Associates, Sal helped grow the firm’s presence across various financial areas like accounting, internal audit, risk management, valuations, and compliance. His ability to spot top talent and connect candidates with the right roles led to great outcomes for both his clients and the professionals he worked with.

After a successful run at Dynamics, Sal took on leadership roles at several executive search firms, focusing on recruiting, business development, and executive search in the financial services world. Sal is known for being a true leader with skills in team-building, mentoring, and building solid client relationships, making him a trusted advisor in the industry.

Getting to Know Sal Khan

Beyond his professional expertise, Sal is a true New Yorker at heart. Born in Manhattan, raised in Long Island, and now residing in Dix Hills, Long Island, he has deep roots in the local community.

Family plays a central role in Sal’s life—his two daughters, 24 and 12, are his pride and joy. Outside of work, he has a passion for reading suspense thrillers and spy novels, as well as indulging in his love for cooking. He enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, with a specialty in Italian and Indian cuisine.

When it comes to sports, Sal is a dedicated fan of the New York Knicks, Yankees, and Giants—teams that he has loyally supported for years.
